New to milsim
What is a milsim?
A military simulation (milsim) is a long-format airsoft event built around a storyline, factions and objectives rather than short rounds. Keystone events run across a full weekend: a Friday night mission, a 12-hour milsim on Saturday, and a final mission and raffle on Sunday.
I’ve never played a milsim. Is Keystone for me?
Yes. Our events are built to be welcoming to first-timers and respected by experienced players. Read the rules, bring the required gear, and our staff will make sure you know what to do next.
Do I need to be part of a team?
No. Solo players are welcome and are placed into platoons within their faction. If you have a team, register together so you play together.
Registration & tickets
When does registration open?
Registration for the 2027 season opens October 15, 2026. Sign up for alerts on the homepage to get an email the moment tickets go live.
How do I register my whole team?
Buy all your team’s tickets in one order and pick your faction. After checkout you’ll get a link to assign each ticket to a player by name and email. Each player then receives their own waiver and personal QR ticket.
How do ticket tiers work?
Standard tickets are on sale from the day registration opens until 7 days before the event. After that, last minute tickets are sold online and on site if capacity allows. Dates for each tier are shown on the event page.
Is there a season pass?
Yes. The Season Pass 2027 covers all five weekends in one purchase. You pick your faction for each event. See upcoming events.
Can I play as a sniper or LMG?
Sniper and LMG are the specialty roles. Each is limited to a small number of seats per faction, and a player takes one or the other, not both. You’ll see how many are left on each event page. Everyone else plays rifleman. Platoon leaders and commanders are assigned prior to the event. If you would like a leadership role, contact us.
Is camping available?
At most venues, yes. Camping is typically free and should be added on during registration so we have an accurate headcount. Each event page shows whether camping is available.
Waivers & check-in
Does every player need a waiver?
Yes. Every attendee signs their own digital waiver before the event. You’ll receive reminders by email until it’s complete.
How does check-in work?
Each player gets a personal QR ticket by email. At the gate, staff scan it and confirm your identity, faction and waiver status. Bring your government-issued ID and your QR code. If you are under 18, your guardian must be present at the gate and during the event.
Can minors attend?
Players ages 14–17 may participate only when a parent or legal guardian attends and remains responsible for them throughout the event. Minors need a parent or guardian waiver and must wear full-face protection.
Gear & gameplay
What gear do I need?
At minimum: a field-legal airsoft replica, ANSI-rated full-seal eye protection, a dead rag, a tourniquet for the revive system, and the uniform for your faction. The full requirements are on the Rules page.
What are the FPS limits?
Standard rifles, pistols and support weapons: 400 FPS with a 0.20 g BB. Sniper rifles: 500 FPS with a 20-foot minimum engagement distance. Every replica is chronographed on site. See Replicas & chronograph on the Rules page.
